THE MACHINES WORK ON THE PRINCIPLE OF VACUUM DEHYDRATION. OIL FROM OIL TANK IS SUCKED THROUGH A VACUUM PUMP AND HEATED IN A VACUUM CHAMBER TO 55 DEG CENTIGRADE.
AS BOILING POINT OF WATER IN VACUUM IS BELOW 50 DEG C , WATER IN OIL BECOMES STEAM AND IS PASSED THROUGH AN AIR COOLED COOLER AND TAKEN OUT.
THE DEHYDRATED OIL IS PUMPED BACK TO THE TANK. A NUMBER OF CYCLES ARE REQUIRED FOR COMPLETE DEHYDRATION DEPENDING ON THE OIL VISCOSITY AND PERCENTAGE OF DISSOLVED GASES/MOISTURE.
THIS PROCESS ENSURES REMOVAL OF DISSOLVED WATER IN OIL . ALSO SINCE THE OIL IS HEATED ONLY UPTO 55 DEG C, THERE WILL NOT BE ANY DEGRADATION OF OIL WHEN COMPARED TO CONVENTIONAL OF WATER REMOVAL. |
